Laguna Dream: The Winhill Patrol

Alright, so we're diving into a bit of a flashback here with Laguna and Kiros. You'll start outside, so head down to the house with the round 'pub' sign below the one you just left. Inside, Ellone's getting a talking-to from Raine, and then Kiros shows up looking… well, let's just say his outfit is memorable. It's been about a year since you last saw him, so chat with him and make sure to go through all his dialogue options, saving 'Let's talk later…' for last. You'll pick up some info about Ward and Julia, which might be a loose connection to Squall and Laguna. If you chose the 'faeries' dialogue earlier, it'll make their current job a bit easier – and that job involves fighting!

Kiros will join your party, so it's a good time to junction your GFs to him since he won't have any. Laguna keeps whatever Squall had. Since it's just the two of them, toss everything onto Kiros and set up your spells. Honestly, this part isn't too tough, and the battles are pretty easy. If you're in a hurry, you could even slap on Enc-None and breeze through it.

Walkthrough: The Winhill Patrol

1. Once you're all set up, leave the pub and head south towards a bridge. Kiros will ask Laguna about his job, and it turns out Laguna's basically a monster hunter here. Head to the lower-right side of the screen, descend some stairs, and you'll find a Dispel draw point. Definitely worth grabbing!
2. Cross the bridge to the south and exit the area. Follow the road south until you reach a fork. To the right, near a roadblock, there's a Drain draw point. Take it if you need it. Then, head right to find a Reflect draw point – they're everywhere in this area! Go down a slope and exit to the lower left.
3. Continue left on the next screen until you hit a three-way fork. Head down from there until you see an item shop on the left. This is where your patrol officially ends. After some more chatter from Laguna, head into the item shop. Not everyone's friendly, but Laguna has 3,000G to spend. You can't take the money with you, but you can keep any items you buy, so stock up on whatever you like.
4. When you're done shopping, follow the road north. Kiros will start questioning Laguna's career choices – maybe his journalistic ambitions? You'll end up in the town square after some more dialogue. Head back to the pub and go upstairs to overhear some girl talk. Then, talk to Raine to debrief her on your patrol.
5. After that, exit the pub, go back to the house above it, and take a nap. Yep, that's how you'll ironically end this dream sequence.
