Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the elevator in Shumi Village, head left twice until you reach a screen with a pond. Enter the house on the left.
  2. 2
Speak to the Sculptor. After a scene involving Laguna's statue, you'll be directed to the Elder.
  3. 3
Exit the Sculptor's house and head right one screen. Enter the Elder's house (the Moomba blocking the entrance will be gone).
  4. 4
After speaking with the Elder, agree to help him earn his favor.
  5. 5
Return to the Sculptor in his house (the left house in the pond screen). He will ask you to find several stones.
  6. 6
Stone Hunt: You must find the stones in order. Return to the Sculptor after finding each one. All stones are located within Shumi Village.
    • Blue Stone: Search the wall to the left of the Laguna statue in the Sculptor's house.
  7. 7
Wind Stone: Go to the screen with the elevator. Search the rocks between the two houses on the right end of the village.
  8. 8
Life Stone: Go to the screen with the Elder's house. On the right side, search the roots of the tree on the cliff's edge.
  9. 9
Shadow Stone: Ride the elevator up to the screen with the Ultima draw point. Search the shadows in the upper right, near the steps to the elevator.
  10. 10
Water Stone (first attempt): Search the pond near the frog. This is not the correct stone.
  11. 11
Water Stone (correct): In the screen with the pond, enter the house on the right and search the sink.
  12. 12
Once you have the final stone, return to the Sculptor and speak to him twice.
  13. 13
Go back to the Elder's house. After a scene, you will receive a Phoenix Pinion.
  14. 14
Exit the Elder's house. When your companions comment, choose to _“Explain what it all meant”_.
  15. 15
Exit Shumi Village to the world map, then return. The Elder's Attendant will now be working for the Sculptor.
  16. 16
Talk to the Attendant and the Sculptor.
  17. 17
Return to the Elder and speak with him.
  18. 18
Exit the Elder's house and speak to the Moomba outside.
  19. 19
Follow the Moomba back to the Attendant and Sculptor. Watch the scene.
  20. 20
Return to the Elder and speak with him again.
  21. 21
Return to the Attendant and speak with him until he mentions the Artisan.
  22. 22
Enter the Artisan's house (the right-most house in the same screen as the Sculptor's house) and speak to the Artisan.
  23. 23
Return to the Elder and speak with him.
  24. 24
Leave Shumi Village and travel to Fisherman's Horizon. Head to the Grease Monkey's house (where you found a Moomba statue and a Timber Maniacs issue earlier). Speak to the Grease Monkey.
  25. 25
Return to the Artisan in Shumi Village. The Moomba Figure will resolve the issue.
  26. 26
Leave the Artisan's house. If you completed the Master Fisherman's quest, you will find him outside.
  27. 27
Return to the Elder's house and speak with him one final time to receive a Status Guard and complete the quest.
Tips
  • The stones must be found in the order listed.
  • The correct Water Stone is found inside the house, not in the pond.
  • Make sure to choose the dialogue option _“Explain what it all meant”_ after receiving the Phoenix Pinion to progress the second part of the quest.
  • The Master Fisherman must have completed his quest for him to appear outside the Artisan's house.
  • Phoenix Pinion
  • Status Guard
  • Timber Maniacs (issue 9)
