Walkthrough

    If you don't have the Alexander Card, fly to Esthar and then to Tear's Point. Do not get too close to the Lunatic Pandora. Fly south over Esthar's fence to an isolated peninsula. Land and go south, then west to the end of the peninsula to find Piet's escape pod landing site. Challenge Piet to a card game and win the Alexander Card.

    Head to Dollet and find the Queen of Cards in the pub. Challenge her, make a junk hand including the Alexander Card, and lose the Alexander Card to her. Ensure she moves to Balamb.

    Find the Queen of Cards' son in the painter's shop in Dollet and win back your Alexander Card.

    Fly to Timber and go to the pub. Challenge the man in the upper right corner. You may need to play over a dozen games to see it, but win his Doomtrain Card. This card has strong left (A) and bottom (A) sides and can be refined into three Status Guard items via Card Mod (a community-made modification that changes the game).

    Return to Balamb city and find the Queen of Cards near the train station. Lose the Doomtrain Card to her, ensuring she moves to Dollet.

    Follow her to Dollet and talk to her in the pub. She will inform you that her father was inspired by Doomtrain to create the Phoenix Card, which is now held by an official in Esthar.

    Fly to Esthar and go to the Presidential Palace. Enter the first doorway to find a Presidential Aide. Challenge him and win the Phoenix Card. This card can be refined into three Phoenix Spirit items, which teach a GF the Revive ability.
Tips
  • The Doomtrain Card is a top-tier card. While it can be refined into Status Guard items, you likely already have access to ST-Def-Jx4 for your GFs.
  • The Phoenix Card can be refined into Phoenix Spirit items to teach Revive, but you can also obtain this ability by buying 60 Mega Phoenix items (7,500G each from the Esthar Shop, totaling 450,000G) and refining them into Phoenix Pinions, then into a Phoenix Spirit.
  • To potentially win back cards faster on disc 4, you can move the Queen of Cards to Shumi Village.

Moving the Queen of Cards to Shumi Village:

  • If you have completed the CC Group questline, you can win back lost rare cards on disc 4.
  • To influence her trade rules, move the Queen of Cards to Shumi Village before disc 4 begins.
  • This involves losing and winning back rare cards to move her. If she is in Balamb or Dollet, play her, lose the MiniMog Card (or another rare card), and ensure she goes to Deling City.
  • Follow her to the hotel in Deling City, win back MiniMog, and send her to Fisherman's Horizon.
  • In Fisherman's Horizon, find her near the Save Point on the train tracks. Lose MiniMog to her again and make sure she goes to Esthar.
