How to get Doomtrain

Obtain the Doomtrain GF in final fantasy viii by collecting the Solomon Ring, 6 Malboro Tentacles, 6 Remedy+, and 6 Steel Pipes.

Item Acquisition:

• Malboro Tentacles: Defeat Malboros found on the Esthar continent (western coast, near Great Salt Lake entrance, outside Tear’s Point in Abadan Plains, north of Esthar City in Nortes Mountains). Alternatively, use Card Mod (a community-made modification that changes the game) on 4 Malboro Cards per tentacle.
• Remedy+: Use Alexander’s Med LV Up ability to convert 10 Remedy items into 1 Remedy+. You need 60 Remedy items total. Remedy items can be purchased from Balamb Shop, Dollet Shop, Timber Shop, Esthar Shop, Man from Garden, and Esthar Shop!!! for approximately 45,000G with Tonberry’s abilities.
• Steel Pipe: Obtain from GIM47N and Wendigo enemies found in forests near Dollet and Timber. Alternatively, use Card Mod on 1 Elastoid Card per pipe.

Doomtrain GF Details:

Doomtrain is a late-game GF with no stat junctions but offers Elem-Defx4 and ST-Def-Jx4 junctions. It also possesses the Auto-Shell ability, which permanently grants the Shell status to the equipped character. Its Forbid Med-RF ability allows refining various items into stat-boosting items and Elixirs.

• Aegis Amulet → 2 = Spd Up
• Doc’s Code → 1 = Megalixir
• Elem Atk → 1 = Elixir x4
• Elem Guard → 1 = Elixir x4
• Gaea’s Ring → 1 = HP Up
• Hundred Needles → 1 = Spd Up
• Hyper Wrist → 10 = Str Up
• Jet Engine → 50 = Spd Up
• Knight’s Code → 1 = Vit Up
• Luck-J Scroll → 1 = Luck Up
• Magic Armlet → 10 = Spr Up
• Med Kit → 1 = Megalixir x2
• Mega-Potion → 20 = Elixir
• Monk’s Code → 1 = Str Up
• Rocket Engine → 5 = Spd Up
• Royal Crown → 10 = Mag Up
• Shaman Stone → 10 = Hero-Trial
• Status Atk → 1 = Elixir x4
