Mission 30: Syphax, the Insidious

Phases:

1. First, you'll need to defeat over thirty or forty Numidia enemies. They are weak but numerous, so use area spells like Blitz and Ruinga. Keep a Medic ready to heal any damage they inflict.
2. Once enough Numidias are defeated, Syphax will appear. It has a decent HP buffer and can inflict several status ailments, so be prepared to use your healing paradigm (like Salvation - MED/MED/MED) to recover.

Strategy:

• When facing the swarm of Numidias, stick with area spells and attacks like Blitz and Ruinga. They might be individually weak, but their sheer numbers can overwhelm you.
• Make sure you have a potent healing paradigm, such as Salvation (MED/MED/MED), ready to go. The Numidias can drain your HP quickly.
• Syphax has a move that inflicts a lot of status ailments. Salvation is your best bet for recovering from these.
• To stagger Syphax, use a paradigm like Relentless Assault (COM/RAV/RAV). Build the stagger gauge to at least 500% or more.
• Once staggered, switch to a damage-focused paradigm like Cerberus for massive damage.
• Remember that Syphax is weak to wind elemental attacks, so utilize those abilities when you have the chance.
• The fight's difficulty comes from the overwhelming number of enemies, not their individual strength. Focus on crowd control and healing.
• Aim for the 'Heartstriker' rank by defeating Syphax efficiently.

Location Details:

To find Syphax, you'll need to head back to the Mah’habara Subterra - Abandoned Dig. If you've completed other missions in the area, you can use a nearby Cie'th Stone to teleport back. Once there, head down the ramp that's North-Northeast from your starting position and then take the path leading East. If you previously used Atomos to cross a bridge and it's no longer there, you'll need to teleport back to Sulyya Springs using the stone, ride Atomos back to the mine, and then use it again to cross the bridge.
