Walkthrough
- 1The Dreadnought will start by swiping at your characters a few times. More than one character may be hit.
- 2Begin with the 'Razer's Edge' paradigm and manually control Sazh to cast Bravery on Lightning and Faith on himself and Vanille.
- 3While Sazh buffs, have Vanille impair the Dreadnought with Deprotect and Deshell.
- 4If the Dreadnought turns on Lightning, it’ll likely miss her.
- 5After several swipes, the boss will shoot 'Wrecking Ball' at one character, dealing about 300 damage.
- 6If the Dreadnought is impaired by status ailments, it may use 'Steam Clean' to remove negative statuses, providing a brief window to recast buffs, heal, or attack.
- 7After Lightning hits the Dreadnought a few times to build its Chain Gauge, switch to the 'Razer's Edge' or 'Tri-disaster' paradigm and attack until it’s staggered.
- 8If you find yourself in a pinch, use a Potion or switch to the 'Combat Medic' paradigm to heal. You can give Sazh Doctor’s Code if desired.
- 9The second battle is almost the same, but the Dreadnought gains the 'Flamethrower' attack, which deals about 80 damage twice. It retains 'Wrecking Ball' and 'Steam Clean'.
- 10If any character’s HP drops below 300, switch to the 'Combat Medic' paradigm to heal or use Potions.
- 11Like in the previous battle, begin with the 'Razer's Edge' paradigm and manually command Sazh for Bravery on Lightning, then Faith on himself and Vanille.
- 12While Sazh buffs, have Vanille debuff the giant machine.
- 13After Lightning hits it a few times to build its Chain Gauge, switch to the 'Razer's Edge' or 'Tri-disaster' paradigm and attack the mech until it’s staggered.
- 14You’ll likely need two Staggers to defeat the Dreadnought.
- Lenora’s Garage Key Item (opens a fourth shop at Save Points)
