The recommended party for this battle is Light, Fang, and Sazh. Sazh should focus on applying buffs like Haste, Bravery, and Faith. Fang should debuff Dahaka with Deprotect, Slow, and Imperil.

Begin combat using a paradigm that allows for quick debuff application and offense, such as Ravager, Ravager, Ravager, to build the Chain Gauge.

Once Slow and Deprotect are applied to Dahaka, switch to a paradigm focused on sustained damage, like Commando, Commando, Commando, and attack until Dahaka is staggered.

When Dahaka is staggered, it will fall to the ground and be immobile for a period. Continue attacking with Commandos until the Chain Gauge reaches approximately 650%, then switch to a paradigm with high damage output, like Ravager, Ravager, Commando, to maximize damage.

Alternate between paradigms focused on healing and buffing your party (e.g., Sentinel, Medic, Medic) and offensive paradigms as needed, with Fang drawing enemy aggro.

Stagger Dahaka a second time to defeat it.
