Navigate the Oblatorium in Final Fantasy XIII! Learn enemy weaknesses, farming tips for Shrouds and CP, and how to handle the Cie'th ambush with Snow.

Alright, so you've made it to the Oblatorium. This area is a bit of a crossroads, and it's actually a fantastic spot to get stronger before pushing forward. You'll run into a few different types of enemies here, so let's break them down real quick:

  • Pantheron: These guys are pretty easy to stagger, so focus on them if you want to get a quick stagger bonus.
  • Ghoul: They're slow, but their attacks hit hard. Watch out, especially if you get swarmed by a few of them at once.
  • Ghast: These are beefier than the others, packing a serious punch with Fire attacks. Keep your party's HP up with regular healing!
  • Wight: They might not have much HP, but they're super evasive. Landing hits can be a bit tricky.

Before you dive deeper, check out the Save Point on the left. See that path behind it? That leads back to the previous area. This is HUGE for farming. If you need more Shrouds or CP, this is one of the best spots in the game to do it. Seriously, spend some time here!

Farming Tip: When you're farming, let Hope do the work. The lower the star rating of the enemies you defeat (which happens when you defeat them slowly), the better your chances of getting Shrouds. You can repeat this as many times as you need.

Once you're done stocking up, head forward. You'll run into some enemies, grab the 100 Gil they drop, and then keep moving towards the marker. As soon as you reach it, you'll be ambushed by a bunch of Cie'th. Don't worry, though – Snow comes in to save the day and takes over as your party leader. Use his Hand Grenade attack to thin out the herd, and then just go all out on the remaining enemies.
