Navigate the High Conflux in Final Fantasy XIII! Learn enemy weaknesses, strategies for Skata'ne and Stikini, and how to collect valuable Gil in this walkthrough section.
Alright, we're heading into the High Conflux section of Chapter 10. This part of the Fifth Ark can be a bit tricky, with a few enemy encounters. You *can* sneak around them by taking ledges along the walls, but if you're like me and prefer to fight your way through, stick with me!
Enemy Encounters:
- Skata’ne: Hits hard and works with others of its kind, but can be Launched.
- Stikini: Inflicts Daze, which can really mess you up. Also coordinates with others and can be Launched when Staggered.
- Berserker: Immune to Fire, weak to Lightning. Its physical and magic damage are halved. It can use Forge to summon the Centaurion Blade.
- Centaurion Blade: Only appears when a Berserker summons it. Immune to Fire, weak to Lightning. No rewards or CP for defeating it.
Walkthrough
- 1Right after you go through the door, you'll be ambushed! A Skata’ne and a Stikini will jump onto the path right in front of you. Your first priority should be the Stikini. It can cast Daze, and trust me, you don't want to be Dazed while fighting these guys. Once the Stikini is staggered, try to Launch it – it's very effective.
- 2After dealing with the initial ambush, follow your destination marker. You'll need to jump off a ledge to get to the bottom.
- 3Once you land, you'll find more enemies. Take them out, and look for a Sphere containing 600 Gil. Grab that loot!
- 4With the Gil secured, just keep following your destination marker to the next area.
Tips
- Remember, the Stikini is your priority target to prevent Daze status.
- Don't forget to use Launch on staggered enemies; it's a great way to rack up damage and can even end fights faster.
- If you're struggling, consider switching your party's Paradigm Packs to optimize for dealing with these specific enemies, especially focusing on Lightning attacks for the Berserker if you encounter one.
- 600 Gil
