Your guide to Mission 49: Tyrannicide (Titan Quest E-5) in Final Fantasy XIII. Learn the Tyrant's weaknesses, strategy, and rewards to conquer this Master Fight.

Alright, let's tackle Mission 49, also known as Tyrannicide. This one's a Master Fight, meaning you're up against a tough Tyrant in the Faultwarrens. You'll need to have completed Mission 43 to even get here, so hopefully, you're already familiar with the drill.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Tyrant: Weak to Thunder and Water. Stagger Percentile: 150%.
  • Additional Foes: Verdelet x4

Location:

You'll find the Stone Location for this mission in the Sylphid Path area of the Faultwarrens. The actual Mark, the Tyrant itself, is waiting for you in Titan's Throne, also within the Faultwarrens. As soon as you enter the zone, you'll see a save point just ahead on your right – definitely use it!

Strategy:

  • When you enter Titan's Throne, you'll face the Tyrant. This boss is quite the machine and has a nasty habit of calling in reinforcements.
  • If the Tyrant summons any Verdelets to help him out, you absolutely need to take them down first. Trying to fight the Tyrant while also dealing with those extra enemies can quickly overwhelm you.
  • Once the adds are cleared, focus on the Tyrant. Remember, its weaknesses are Thunder and Water. Make sure your party is buffed up with appropriate abilities before you go in for the main assault.
  • Keep an eye on its Stagger gauge. With a stagger percentile of only 150%, it can be staggered relatively quickly if you focus your attacks.
  • Initial Reward: Particle Accelerator x7
  • Repeat Reward: Crystal Oscillator x2
