Master the External Berths in Final Fantasy XIII. Learn effective strategies against Deckdrones and PSICOM Dragoons, and find valuable items like Millerite and Incentive Chips.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the Save Station, turn around and defeat the two Deckdrones. Deckdrones are weak to Fire and Ice.
  2. 2
Collect the Millerite from the nearby Sphere.
  3. 3
Engage the two Deckdrones and the nearby Dragoon. Defeat the Deckdrones first, then the Dragoon. Be prepared to switch to a healing Paradigm when the Dragoon uses Missile Burst or to keep your party above half health.
  4. 4
Follow the walkway forward, turn right, and defeat the group of five Deckdrones. Try to preempt them.
  5. 5
Continue right to the end of the ship and leap to the higher platforms.
  6. 6
Defeat the Dragoon on the higher platforms.
  7. 7
Collect the 3x Incentive Chips from the Sphere.
  8. 8
Proceed north towards the marker, being cautious of two Dragoons patrolling ahead. Heal often and switch Paradigms as needed during this fight.
  9. 9
Continue defeating enemy groups until you reach the next area requiring a jump to higher walkways.
  10. 10
At the top, run to the end and collect the 4x Silicone Oil.
  11. 11
Follow the marker to the waypoint and the next area.
Tips
  • The External Berth and Crew Corridor areas are excellent for farming CP (Crystarium Points).
  • Deckdrones drop valuable components like Digital Circuits and Silicone Oil, and yield 141 CP per drone.
  • Dragoons sometimes drop Incentive Chips, which sell for 2,500 Gil.
  • More dangerous enemies inside the ship can be farmed for CP, Credit Chips (500 Gil), and Incentive Chips.
  • To respawn all enemies, move between the External Berths and Crew Corridor boundaries.
