Dread Comet Attacks:
- Stamp: Dread Comet lunges forward and slams its foot down, potentially knocking you down. It leans back and lifts its leg before lunging. Move to the side or wait to dodge for a Precision Dodge.
- Peck: Dread Comet leans its head back before lunging forward to peck at you. Back away when it leans its head back.
- Stunning Blast: Dread Comet expels a large blue blast that stuns you briefly. This attack does no damage and precedes stronger attacks. You can safely ignore it.
- Bicycle Kick: Dread Comet jumps into the air and kicks multiple times. Be ready to dodge to the side or perform a Precision Dodge a second after the jump.
- Choco Meteor: Dread Comet marks the floor where it will drop a meteor, sending out a shockwave upon impact. A small orange marker appears on the floor. Move away from the impact site and jump over the shockwave.
- Choco Meteorain: A more powerful version of Choco Meteor, casting up to 15 meteors. Get as far away from Dread Comet as possible and focus on avoiding the meteors. Move to the side of the orange mark to avoid impact, then jump towards it to avoid the shockwave. Will-o’-the-Wykes is recommended.
Recommended Abilities:
- Garuda: Pile Drive (Damage), Lightning Rod (Damage/Will)
- Titan: Windup (Damage), Will-o’-the-Wykes (Will)
- Bahamut: Judgment Bolt (Damage), Gigaflare (Damage)
These abilities are chosen for defensive utility or direct damage, as Dread Comet has no Will-Gauge. Pile Drive has decent damage and a short animation. Lightning Rod supplements damage from other abilities.
