You won't even see Megaflare until you're well into the main questline, specifically around the 'Things Fall Apart' mission. That's quest number 52 out of 68, so you've got a ways to go if you're just starting out. Once you hit that point, you'll unlock the Bahamut Eikon's ability tree, and that's where Megaflare comes from. Think of it as Bahamut's signature move, kind of like how Phoenix has Phoenix Shift or Garuda has Deadly Embrace. Megaflare is seriously powerful, especially when you use it right, because it just keeps hitting enemies on its own after you cast it. You can charge it all the way up to level 4 for maximum oomph, but for this trophy, you only really need to get it to level 2.

So, how do you actually use Megaflare? When you're in combat, you'll press the button to activate it. Clive will sort of transform, getting these cool wings, and you'll start floating around slowly. You'll see a circular progress bar pop up in the top-left corner of your screen. This bar shows Megaflare charging up. It'll go up to level 3 on its own, but if you want to speed things up, you can try performing Precision Dodges while it's charging. These are often called 'Megaflare Dodges' when you're doing this.

If you chain a few of these Precision Dodges together, you can get Megaflare to level 4 in just a few seconds. But remember, for the trophy, just hitting level 2 is enough. Once you're at least level 2, press the button again to unleash it.

When you finally let loose with Megaflare, a bunch of fiery lights will rain down from the sky, automatically seeking out any enemies within its range. The range is pretty decent, so it can hit most enemies in a small area. The higher the level you cast it from, the longer it lasts and the more damage it'll do, but again, level 2 is your target for the trophy.

The best part? You don't actually need to defeat enemies with Megaflare for the hits to count. You just need to connect with each fiery light. To make this trophy pop faster, try to use Megaflare as much as possible in combat.
