Kill or Save Regalla

Alright, let's talk about Regalla. This is one of those tough choices in Horizon Forbidden West that really makes you think. You'll get to this decision point during the main mission called The Wings of the Ten. After you've battled Regalla and proven your strength, you'll have to decide if you want to spare her life or end it. There are some pretty significant upsides to both options, so let's break them down so you can make the best choice for your playthrough.

Saving Regalla

If you decide to spare Regalla, she'll eventually join you as an ally when you face off against the formidable Zeniths later in the game. It's worth noting that not everyone in your camp will be thrilled with this decision; Kotallo, in particular, won't be happy about it. However, others will stand by Aloy's choice, and Regalla will live to fight another day.

Killing Regalla

Choosing to end Regalla's life is definitely the more 'noble' path, and while it might seem harsh, it comes with a tangible reward: the Regalla's Wrath Sharpshot Bow. If you go this route, Kotallo will step in and run Regalla through with his spear, ending her threat.

Regalla’s Wrath Sharpshot Bow

This bow is a Very Rare weapon and is described as Regalla's prized possession. It's a lethal bow that really shines when you're engaging targets at long range (30m or more), inflicting extra damage. You can even upgrade it to improve its rate of fire.

The Regalla's Wrath Sharpshot Bow is particularly effective against larger, heavily armored machines. Its Strikethrough Precision Arrows are excellent for piercing through tough defenses. Unlike Hunter or Warrior Bows, you'll want to keep your distance when using this Sharpshot Bow to maximize your damage output. You can equip it with either Advanced Precision Arrows or Strikethrough Precision Arrows.

Is There Another Way to Get Regalla’s Bow?

This is a common question, and unfortunately, the answer is no. If you choose to spare Regalla, she'll keep her bow and use it herself throughout the game. So, if collecting every possible weapon is your goal, you'll have to make the tough call and kill her.

The Third Choice

You might notice there's a third dialogue option: "This isn't easy." While it's true that the decision is difficult for Aloy, picking this option only gives her a few extra seconds to ponder and doesn't change the outcome of the game. You'll still have to make the final choice between gaining an extra companion for the Zenith fight or securing that awesome Very Rare Sharpshot Bow.
