This rare Hunter Bow delivers precise Frost payloads, capable of making enemy armor brittle or detonating Chillwater Canisters. It can also fire Acid Arrows.

You can purchase the Frost Hunter Bow from Hunters in Plainsong and east of LATOPOLIS.

How to Get the Frost Hunter Bow

This bow can be bought from merchants in the eastern half of the Forbidden West. To access these areas, you must complete the quest The Embassy. The Hunter in Plainsong is a good source for mid-game weaponry, but you can obtain this weapon earlier from a Hunter west of LATOPOLIS, whom you might visit during the quest Death’s Door. In addition to Metal Shards, you will need a Scrapper Circulator, an Uncommon drop from Scrappers.

How to Use the Frost Hunter Bow

The Frost Hunter Bow is an early source of Frost damage, particularly if you favor Hunter Bows over Blastslings. Its Frost damage output and Frost Buildup are relatively low, making it a transitional weapon. Despite its name, this bow can also fire Acid Arrows with similar proficiency and damage. While its on-paper stats aren't exceptional, when used with "Triple Shot," Hunter Bows like this can achieve decent elemental buildup. Its two perks enhance its utility: Draw speed (unlocked at Rank I and improved at Rank IV) and Overdraw Damage (unlocked at Rank III). These perks allow for faster arrow drawing and reward drawing arrows fully. Like most rare weapons, this bow can gain up to two Coil Slots when fully upgraded.

• Draw Speed: Increase the speed at which you fully draw and overdraw arrows. The longer you draw an arrow, the more damage it deals. Unlocked at Rank I with +25% Draw Speed, this increases to +65% at Rank IV.
• Overdraw Damage: Deals extra damage when a shot is “Overdrawn”. This perk is unlocked at Rank III.
