Follow our Signal Spike guide for Horizon Forbidden West to complete this side quest. Learn how to start the quest, track down Silga, and find all signal locations.
Walkthrough
- 1Start the Quest: Complete the main quest "The Eye of the Earth." Then, either talk to Minda at Camp Nowhere (north of Tallneck: The Stillsands) or find Silga, an Oseram woman, fighting machines west of Camp Nowhere.
- 2Track Down Silga: If you started at Camp Nowhere, head west through the mountains to find an abandoned Oseram camp. Continue west along the mountain trail until you hear Silga. Find her fighting two Spikesnouts and a Scrounger. Defeat the machines.
- 3Investigate the First Spike: After defeating the machines, follow Silga north to her workshop. Talk to her, and she will task you with investigating a "Spike" on the cliff to the north. Climb up to the spike to acquire the first signal.
- 4Reacquire the Signal: Follow the wire up the road to the north and climb the cliff to reach the spike. Climb up near the spike to reacquire the signal. Zipline back down to Silga to update her.
- 5Get the Signal in the Mountain Above the Base: Fast travel to The Base. Head south up some rocks and push over a tree to create a path. Be wary of machines like Leapslashers and Sunwings. Continue southeast, climbing when necessary, to reach the summit and acquire the second signal. You will earn the trophy "Completed a Long Glide" after gliding down.
- 6Get the Tower Signal in Scalding Spear: Head to Scalding Spear. Go to the base of the tower on the western end of town. Ascend ramps to the southern side, then use your Pullcaster to reach grapple points and jump between platforms to reach the top of the tower. Reacquire the signal when prompted.
Tips
- When fighting the initial machines near Silga, use the distraction to your advantage for Silent Strikes.
- When dealing with Leapslashers and Sunwings above The Base, try to pick off Leapslashers from afar. If you cause too much trouble, Sunwings will engage.
- Stealth can be effective against the Frost Glinthawks; alternatively, use Fire damage to ground them and make them vulnerable.
- When climbing the tower in Scalding Spear, use your Pullcaster and jumping skills to navigate the platforms.
