How to Find & Defeat the Stillsands North Rebel Outpost

Alright, so you're looking to clear out the Stillsands North Rebel Outpost in Horizon Forbidden West? It's a bit of a jump in difficulty from the previous ones, so make sure you're around Level 25 before you head in. If you're a skilled player or on an easier setting, you might be able to tackle it sooner, but it's definitely tougher.

Unlike some other outposts that give you plenty of cover, this one's pretty exposed out in the desert. There's some long grass you can use, but mostly you'll be out in the open. This means you can't really pick off enemies one by one as easily as before.

Your main goal is to find and kill the Outpost Leader, which is mandatory. You can also take out the other Rebels, which is optional but honestly, much easier to do given the layout. You'll also have to deal with some Machines here, so it's a good idea to take them down first. Use your Focus to track their patrols and try to use that long grass to get the drop on them stealthily. It's a good way to thin the herd before you engage the Rebels.

The good news is the Rebel Leader isn't hiding. He'll come right at you once the fight starts. He's tough, especially with the other Rebels and Machines trying to stop you, so if you want to focus him down, be aggressive and hit him hard and fast.

Once you've taken down the leader, you'll get your usual Soldier Tags and some other loot. There aren't any extra Skill Points for this one, so after you've grabbed any chests or materials lying around, you're free to leave. Aloy will mention that the soldiers will scatter now that their leader is gone, and the outpost is considered cleared.
