Zo needs your help to heal the Land-Gods for her tribe. She requires Control Cores from Grimhorns, machines similar to Plowhorns, to create a reboot code. Meet Zo at a Campfire north of Memorial Grove, then press Triangle to call her. Together, you'll head to find the Grimhorns, but be prepared for a fight against two Grimhorns, a Fire and Frost Bellowback, and a Skydrifter.
- The Bellowbacks' elemental sacs are large targets. Destroying them can cause explosions that damage nearby machines and inflict elemental states. The Frost Bellowback is ideal as Brittle state increases damage taken.
- The Skydrifter can be a nuisance, especially when airborne. Prioritize it, as it's less dangerous when landed and has low health.
- Grimhorns are the toughest. Their horns can be removed to disable flamethrower attacks. Their backs have heavy weapons that launch explosives; these can be shot off and used against them. Removing the horns is a priority for exclusive loot.
After defeating the machines, loot the Grimhorns for their Control Cores and speak to Zo. She will return to The Base, and you'll learn that the reboot code must be delivered to three Land-Gods still in the wild. Utaru shrines near each Land-God will help locate them.
Where to Find the Land-God, So
So is the easiest Land-God to find. You'll need the Diving Mask, obtained during the main story quest 'The Sea of Sands.' Locate a small lake southwest of Plainsong, nestled in the mountains. A Snapmaw patrols this lake. Use the surrounding algae for cover while avoiding the Snapmaw. Swim to the debris in the center and look for the prompt to 'Pry Open.' The Land-God is beneath rocks that need to be loosened before you can install the reboot code.
Where to Find the Land-God, Ti
Ti is the most complex of the three, located in Cinnabar Sands, east of the Tallneck. You'll face Scroungers and a Ravager initially. Quickly shoot off the Ravager Cannon to disable its ranged attacks, though it retains an electric shockwave. Once the machines are cleared, approach the Land-God. A Stormbird will appear. Disable its chest cannon first to avoid constant electric energy shots. After disabling the cannon, it resorts to melee or wind attacks. The Stormbird is agile, making it challenging to hit. Once defeated, install the reboot code.
