The Arena?

So, you've heard about the Arena in Horizon Forbidden West, huh? It's basically this awesome place where you can test your combat skills and earn special currency. When you first start out, you'll meet Kalla, who's in charge of the Arena itself. After she gives you the rundown, you'll want to find Dukkah. She's the one you'll be trading with.

Dukkah hangs out nearby and is marked on your map with a handy medal icon. Once you find her, just chat her up and select the option to Trade Medals. Now, here's the cool part: there are two types of medals you can earn and trade. You've got your Hunting Medals, which you get from completing challenges at the Hunting Grounds scattered across the map. Then you have your Arena Medals, earned by, you guessed it, fighting in the Arena!

These medals are treated separately, and what you can buy depends on how many of each you've collected. Hunting Medals can get you some really good Very Rare weapons, which might be a nice upgrade depending on where you are in the game. But if you're aiming for the absolute best gear, you'll want to focus on earning Arena Medals. These bad boys let you purchase Legendary weapons and armor. Be warned, though – this top-tier equipment requires a *lot* of medals, meaning you'll be fighting in the Arena quite a bit to get enough. The upside? Legendary gear is some of the most powerful in the game, often packed with awesome perks and plenty of slots for Coils to customize your build even further.
