Alright, let's talk about the Glinthawk in Horizon Forbidden West. These flying scavengers usually hang out in small groups and can be a real pain with their elemental attacks from a distance. They're also known for picking up machine carcasses to recycle, which is pretty neat but annoying when they're attacking you.

• Weak To: Frost, Shock
• Resistant To: Fire (if it's a Fire Glinthawk), Frost (if it's a Frost Glinthawk)

Phases:

1. Elemental Attacks: The Glinthawk will primarily stay in the air, launching elemental attacks. These can be Frost or Fire, depending on the Glinthawk's type. They often cause small explosions on impact.
2. Swoop Attack: It might swoop down to try and hit you with its claws. This is usually telegraphed and easy to dodge.
3. Carpet Bombing: Less common, but it can unleash a barrage of elemental attacks in a line. This is also fairly easy to avoid as it moves predictably.

Strategy:

• Stay Mobile: Since they attack from range and stay airborne, you'll need to keep moving to dodge their elemental blasts.
• Target the Sac: The absolute best way to deal with a Glinthawk is to shoot the elemental sac on its belly. A few well-placed shots will cause it to explode, making the Glinthawk plummet to the ground. This is your prime opportunity to get in some free hits!
• Aim for the Beak: If you want to prevent it from scavenging machine carcasses (and get some nice loot), aim for its beak. Detaching this part is key.
• Don't Bother with Melee (Usually): Unless you're using a Ropecaster to tie it down, melee attacks are pretty much useless since it stays in the air. Focus on ranged combat.
• Exploit Weaknesses: If you're fighting a Frost Glinthawk, use Fire arrows. If it's a Fire Glinthawk, use Shock arrows. This will bring them down much faster.
