Cinnabar Sands Tallneck: Locations

Find and override the Cinnabar Sands Tallneck in Horizon Forbidden West. Follow our step-by-step guide to climb the dish, restore power, and reach the Tallneck.

Alright, so you're looking to get that Cinnabar Sands Tallneck overridden, huh? It's a pretty cool one, circling a weird old dish structure. Overriding it will give you a nice data dump for the surrounding area. Let's get you up there!

Here's the plan:

1. Climb the Dish
2. Restore Power to the Console
3. Find a Way to Untangle the Dish
4. Override the Tallneck

Climb the Dish

First things first, head southeast from Plainsong. You'll spot the Tallneck doing its rounds around a big satellite dish. To start your climb, get to the northeast side of the dish. You'll see a red lock right in the middle of a ladder – shoot that lock to lower the ladder. Climb up both sections, and then we need to get that generator powered up.

How to Restore Power to the Console

Once you're at the top, look to the right. You'll find a ledge you can drop down to. Shimmy across to the platform on your right; there's a Power Cell waiting for you there. After you grab it, drop off the platform and find the generator, which is located underneath the satellite dish. Pop that Power Cell into the generator. Now, climb back up the first ladder you used and interact with the console to get the power back on.

How to Untangle the Dish

With the power restored, follow the path to your left and climb up to the next platform. Here's where your Bow comes in handy. You'll want to shoot the glowing orange parts of the cables. Doing this will detach them, which is exactly what we need. Once they're detached, you'll need to glide over to the Tallneck.

Override the Tallneck

Okay, almost there! Climb the ladder to the very top of the dish structure. Head over to the tallest section, and when the Tallneck is close enough, glide over to it. Once you're on its back, just climb up and hold the Triangle button to perform the override. Boom! You've done it!
