Walkthrough

    Upon entering Route 110, head north to find Professor Birch. He will register himself on your Pokenav.

    Continue north. If you haven't completed the Slateport Museum delivery for Captain Stern, Team Aqua will block the path. Return to Slateport to clear this.

    Proceed north again, and you will reach a junction. Take the eastern path.

    Follow the path east until you encounter your rival, Brendan/May, for a battle.

Rival Battle - Brendan/May:

  • If Treecko was your starter: Wingull (Lvl 18), Lombre (Lvl 18), Combusken (Lvl 20). Use Electric or Rock/Ground attacks on Wingull. Use Flying or Poison on Lombre. Use Flying or Psychic on Combusken.
  • If Torchic was your starter: Lombre (Lvl 18), Slugma (Lvl 18), Marshtomp (Lvl 20). Use Flying or Poison on Lombre. Water, Rock, or Ground attacks are effective against Slugma. Use Grass attacks on Marshtomp.
  • If Mudkip was your starter: Slugma (Lvl 18), Wingull (Lvl 18), Grovyle (Lvl 20). Slugma is weak to Water, Rock, Ground. Wingull is weak to Electric or Rock/Ground. Grovyle is weak to Fire, Flying, Poison, Bug.
