Alright, let's head onto Route 120 in Pokemon Emerald. This route is packed with trainers and some interesting Pokemon encounters, so pay attention!

Wild Pokemon Encounters:

You'll also find some Pokemon while surfing and fishing:

Absol is a Dark-type Pokemon with good speed and attack, though its special attack is a bit low. With proper training, it can be a real powerhouse. Barboach evolves into Whiscash, a Water/Ground type that's only weak to Grass-type moves, making it a solid choice.

Trainers to Battle:

As you enter Route 120 from the east, head right and you'll immediately run into Parasol Lady Clarissa. She's got a Roselia (Level 28) and a Wailmer (Level 28) ready for battle, and she'll give you $1120 if you win.

Keep heading east, and you'll have to push through some tall grass – yeah, it's like Route 119, but this is the last of it, so hang in there! Once you're through, head up the steps and make your way to the northeast corner. There you'll find Interviewer Gabby and Ty. They'll challenge you with a Magneton (Level 30) and a Loudred (Level 30), and they'll hand over $2880 if you beat them. Remember, these two will pop up on different routes as you progress, and their Pokemon will get tougher each time!

After dealing with Gabby and Ty, cut through the grass and battle Bird Keeper Robert, who's just before the bridge to your left. He's got a Swablu (Level 29) and will give you $928.

Now, as you try to cross the bridge, you'll be stopped by something invisible. Don't worry, Steven Stone is right there! He'll offer to use his new gadget, the Devon Scope, to reveal what's blocking your path. If you say yes, he'll use it. If you say no, you can always come back later to get the scope.

The invisible object is a Level 30 Kecleon. You might have seen these elusive Pokemon in the wild before, but it's rare. It's a good idea to try and catch one here, as finding them normally can be a real pain. You might also remember seeing invisible Kecleons near the entrance to Fortree City on Route 119 – you can go back and check those out too if you like.

Once Steven gives you the Devon Scope, you'll be able to spot and deal with any invisible Kecleons you encounter. With that done, it's time to head back to Fortree City!
