Master Pokemon Emerald's Route 113! Discover wild Pokemon, battle trainers, and learn how to get the Soot Sack for valuable items.
Your first step into Route 113 will cause ash to fall from the mountains. While you may think the ash is there for looks, it'll be nice and wonderful as soon as you get a Soot Sack to collect all of it for free items.
Route 113 Pokemon
- Spinda (Very Common)
- Slugma (Common)
- Skarmory (Rare)
Spinda is a Normal type Pokemon with average stats, often considered fun but not the best choice. Slugma can be found in Fiery Path. Walkthrough
- From the beginning of the route, head west until you reach a ledge.
- Battle the trainer to the left of the grass.
- Head north, watch out for a ninja ambush, and then head west, crossing another patch of grass.
- Proceed north and west to find a house.
- Enter the house and speak with the man in the back to receive the Soot Sack. This item is used to collect soot falling from the sky. Each step in the grass counts as 1, and you can reset the soot by leaving and re-entering the route.
- The man offers the following items in exchange for soot:
- Black Flute (1000 steps)
- Blue Flute (250 steps)
- Pretty Chair (6000 steps)
- Pretty Desk (8000 steps)
- Red Flute (500 steps)
- White Flute (1000 steps)
- Yellow Flute (500 steps)
- Recommended Flutes: The Blue Flute wakes up sleeping Pokemon, and the Yellow Flute cures confusion instantly. Both can be used infinitely. The Red Flute removes attraction. The White Flute increases encounter rate, and the Black Flute decreases it. The Pretty Chair and Pretty Desk are for Secret Base decoration.
- After obtaining the Soot Sack, jump off the ledge to the left.
- Continue west, cross the grass patch, and battle the remaining trainers.
- Proceed into the next town.
