Notable Pokemon Details:

• Kecleon: A Normal-type Pokemon with the Color Change ability, which changes its type to match the last attack it was hit by. It has high special defense but average other stats.
• Tentacool: A Water/Poison type that evolves into Tentacruel. It has good speed and special attack but is weak to Psychic and Ground.
• Magikarp: Evolves into Gyarados (Water/Flying) at level 20. Its initial stats are very low, and its only move is Splash.

After surfing across the water, talk to the man next to the water and answer 'yes' to his question. He will give you the Good Rod.

Progression:

1. Surf across the water.
2. Talk to the man to receive the Good Rod.
3. Continue east and battle the trainer on the sand.
4. Head up the opening in the ledge and continue east.
5. Battle the trainer in the grass.
6. Head north between the ledges for another battle.
7. Continue north into the next route.
