Compendium

• Discover 50 animals – you can do this by studying them (press R1 when close) or looting them after killing them. If it appears in your Compendium, it counts!
• Obtain 10 pieces of equipment – you start with some, and more unlock through the Trapper as you progress through Challenges.
• Discover 10 species of fish – you only need to catch 10 different ones, though one of the Challenges requires catching every fish.
• Encounter all six enemy gangs – this should happen naturally as you play through the story missions.
• Discover 10 breeds of horses – you'll need to discover one more breed beyond the nine wild horse breeds you can break for a Challenge.
• Collect 20 kinds of plants – if you're going for the Challenge to find all plants, this will come naturally.
• Use at least 48 different weapons – there are 59 unique weapons in the game. Be aware that seven of these are missable, so check the Weapons page for their locations. Some weapons from GTA V might count, but it's not guaranteed.
