Master the 'Good, Honest, Snake Oil' mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. Learn how to stop Benedict Allbright from falling, hogtie him, and return him to the sheriff within the strict time limits for Gold.

Alright, so after you wrap up that mission for Uncle over at Horseshoe Overlook, keep an eye on your map. You'll see a new icon pop up – it looks like a skull with a dollar sign on it. That means it's time to head over to the Sheriff's office to kick off this mission. It's basically your intro to bounty hunting, which is a pretty sweet way to make some extra cash and boost your Honor. Trust me, you'll want that Honor high later on, so don't skip these!

Your target, Benedict Allbright, is chilling north of Valentine in a gorge. The game will point you right to him. Now, here's where things get a little dicey: as you get close, this guy's gonna slip right off the cliff! You gotta be quick on the draw here. Use the on-screen prompts to pull him back up. But nope, he's not done trying to escape – he'll decide to take a dive into the river to get away from you.

Don't bother with the cinematic camera here; just ignore that suggestion. Instead, get your Lasso ready and race along the riverbank. It's a bit of a wild ride down the rapids, but eventually, the current will calm down enough for you to snag Benedict with your Lasso. Once you've got him, hop off your horse and hogtie him as fast as you can. Shove him onto your horse and now you've got a ticking clock: 1 minute and 30 seconds to get back to Valentine. Just keep galloping the whole way, and you'll make it. Ride into town, toss Benedict off your horse, and get him into the Sheriff's office cell. Mission complete!

Gold Medal Checklist:

• Stop Benedict Allbright from falling off the cliff
• Hogtie Allbright within 1 minute 15 seconds
• Return Allbright to the sheriff within 1 minute 30 seconds
