Follow our step-by-step guide to conquer the 'Jim Milton Rides, Again?' mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. Learn how to handle brawls, shootouts, and secure that Gold Medal!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Head over to Mr. Geddes to start the mission. After a chat about the Laramies, they'll attack the ranch that night, making off with cattle and killing a ranch hand. Go to the scene, and you'll have to brawl with two Laramies. Focus on blocking their punches and countering with your own.
  2. 2
After the brawl, John and the other ranch hands ride to the Laramie estate. Once you dismount your horse in the marked area, equip your dual sidearms. You'll need to get 15 headshots during the upcoming shootout. Use Dead Eye to make sure you land those headshots, as there are just enough Laramies around to achieve this.
  3. 3
Keep to cover during the shootout, as enemies will attack from all sides. When you face the second wave of Laramies, prioritize taking out the sniper on top of the barn to your left. After that, deal with the remaining Laramies in your vicinity.
  4. 4
Once the shootout wraps up, head into the barn to find the last Laramie. You'll be ambushed from behind. This final brawl requires a more defensive approach since your health might be low. Counter his attacks with a punch or two, then immediately go back to defending.
  5. 5
In the following cutscene, you'll have a chance to end the Laramie threat. After that, ride back to the Pronghorn to finish the mission.
Tips
  • Gold Medal Checklist: Get 10 kills while dual wielding sidearms, get 15 headshots, and complete the mission without taking any health items.
  • Dual Wielding Headshots: Equip your dual sidearms early and aim for the head. Dead Eye is your best friend here to ensure you meet the 15 headshot requirement.
  • Sniper Threat: Don't forget to take out the sniper on the barn roof during the main shootout. He can be a real pain if you ignore him.
  • Defensive Brawling: The final brawl in the barn can be tough, especially if you're low on health. Play it safe, block and counter sparingly, and you'll get through it.
