Learn how to use the B.O.W. Decoy effectively in Resident Evil: Revelations. This guide covers its use in the Library and Storage Hallway sections.
Alright, let's talk about the B.O.W. Decoy! Parker hands these over to Jill, and they're super useful for dealing with those pesky Oozes without wasting precious ammo. We'll cover how to use them in the Library and the Storage Hallway.
Library
When you first enter the Library, you'll want to be careful. As you step around the left side of that big, long bookcase, keep an eye out. There's an Ooze chilling on the right side, near the back of that same bookcase. Things get a bit more crowded once Jill moves behind the long bookcase, because another Ooze pops up behind the left side of the first smaller bookcase. Your best bet here is to make a dash for it. Run right between the two smaller bookcases and head straight for the door. This way, you can zip out of the room quickly and avoid engaging those Oozes directly.
Second Library
Things get a little more interesting in the Second Library. As you go around the right side of the long bookcase ahead of you, you'll see an Ooze. Don't worry too much, he's stationary and won't attack unless you get close. The real threat is down the corridor to your left – another Ooze is shuffling along. This is the perfect spot to use one of your new B.O.W. Decoys! Toss it towards the Ooze on the left. When it detonates, it'll take him out. Once that's done, quickly run down that left corridor.
Now, be ready! As soon as you round the corner at the end of the hall, another Ooze is going to attack. You need to be quick: throw another B.O.W. Decoy before Jill even makes it around the corner. Let it do its work, and once it explodes, immediately make a break for the door on the west side of the room. You'll need to hug the left side of the back bookcase to get through, as the other side is blocked.
Storage Hallway
Parker's going to take the lead here. He'll run ahead and stop at an iron door with bars. He'll let you know the weapons are in the room just beyond it. Unfortunately, the room down the corridor to the right is locked from the other side, so you can't get to it that way. You'll need to meet up with Parker at that iron door. Together, you two will kick it down! It's a bit of a classic Resident Evil moment, isn't it? Makes you wonder why they don't just kick down every locked door.

- Handgun Ammo (+10) - You'll find this on a cabinet near the locked door.
