Learn how to dodge your first Ooze attack in Resident Evil: Revelations and solve the tricky touch screen panel puzzle to escape the room. Don't get caught!

Alright, so you've just started up Resident Evil: Revelations and you're in this room. The first thing you'll notice is that green herb, but don't worry about that just yet. Your main goal is to get out of here. Head towards the entrance door.

As soon as you get close, BAM! An Ooze is gonna burst out of that big closet on your right. Don't panic! Jill doesn't have any weapons yet, and this is actually your tutorial for dodging. The game *wants* you to learn this now.

Here's the move: You need to press the circle pad upwards, or press down on the circle pad and then hit the B button. Wait until the Ooze gets pretty close and starts to wind up its attack – you'll see it pull one of its arms back. As soon as you see that, input your dodge command.

If you nail it, the Ooze will miss and smack its head right into the TV nearby. It'll be stunned for a bit, giving you a window to act. While it's dazed, walk over to the panel next to the door you want to open.

This brings up a touch screen puzzle. You'll need to use your stylus to tap and remove each of the screws on the bottom screen. Once that's done, you'll see a circuit board inside. Your job is to line up the plugs along the glowing lights. Keep adjusting them until the wires connected to the plugs all light up, forming a specific shape.

Puzzle Solution:

The order you need to connect the plugs is:

1. Connect plug 2 to plug 4.
2. Connect plug 8 to plug 2.
3. Connect plug 7 to plug 8.

Once you get this right, the lights will form a shape like this:

The second you solve this puzzle, the door will unlock. But don't celebrate too long – the Ooze will recover from its stun and start coming at you again. You need to be quick! Open the door and get out of there. Seriously, don't try to fight it without a weapon.

Guest Hallway

Okay, you're out! Now you're in a hallway. The door straight ahead has a padlock on it, and you don't have the key or any weapons. So, you'll need to head down the hall to your right and open the door at the very end of that one. Parker will give you a call just before you open it.

Quick heads-up: You might see some handgun ammo in a cabinet on the way. There's a temptation to grab it, but an Ooze will actually block your path if you go for it. Honestly, dodging can be tough enough as it is, so it's probably best to just leave that ammo for now and focus on getting through the door.
