Guide to defeating Malacoda 2 in Resident Evil: Revelations. Learn its attacks, weak spots, and the best strategy using gatling guns and rocket launchers.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Tentacles: The four tentacles sticking out of Malacoda's body are its weak points and can be destroyed.

Phases:

  1. Initial Tentacle Assault: Malacoda will remain stationary, and tentacles will emerge from its sides to attack. Some will attempt to ram the helicopter.
  2. Four Tentacle Phase: The helicopter will position itself in front of Malacoda, and four tentacles will emerge. These must be destroyed.
  3. Final Phase: After the four tentacles are destroyed, Malacoda spews gas, exposing its inner weak area and three more tentacles.

  • Start firing at tentacles even when they're at a distance.
  • Keep an eye on the gatling gun's temperature gauge. Constantly tap the B button to cool it down when tentacles start sinking back into the body or the gauge nears the red.
  • Grenade rounds (X button) can help if tentacles overwhelm the screen, but they aren't essential due to the precise aiming required.
  • The helicopter will circle Malacoda throughout the fight. New tentacles will appear frequently.
