Guide yourself through Episode 3 of Resident Evil: Revelations with Parker and Jessica. Learn how to defeat Hunters and the Scagdead boss.
Alright, Episode 3! This one throws a lot at you, but we'll get through it. You'll start off with Parker and Jessica, and your first big hurdle is dealing with a wave of Hunters.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, head to the lobby and activate the elevator. As soon as you do, you need to rush back down the entrance corridor towards the lobby.
- 2Position yourself in the corridor and let the Hunters come to you and your companions. They'll only approach from one direction here, which makes things a bit easier.
- 3Hang back near the lobby so you can see them coming down the corridor. When they're almost in view, toss a grenade. This should do some serious damage to the whole group.
- 4After the grenade, switch to your machine gun and blast them as they try to close the distance. If they get too close, switch to your shotgun for some close-quarters stopping power.
- 5Once you've dealt with the Hunters, you'll need to head into the Promenade. Your target here is a nasty enemy called the Scagdead. Make sure your PSG-1 rifle is upgraded with the best damage, capacity, and fire rate you can manage.
- 6When you encounter the Scagdead, try to use the windows in its room to your advantage. You can hop through them and shoot at it from the other side. Alternatively, use the counter in the downstairs Café to get to the other side and blast away. Keep hopping back and forth between these areas to keep it off balance.
- 7Don't forget about the explosive canisters scattered around the area! Use them to deal extra damage to the Scagdead. Spam it with grenades and rifle shots, and it'll go down eventually.
- 8Keep an eye out for other Ooze enemies that might show up while you're fighting the Scagdead. Your hand grenades can be surprisingly effective at taking them down or at least staggering them.
Tips
- Focus on controlling the flow of the Hunter encounter by luring them into a choke point.
- The Scagdead can be a tough fight, so make sure your rifle is well-upgraded before you engage. Using the environment to your advantage is key!
- Don't underestimate the usefulness of hand grenades against regular Ooze enemies, especially when you're focused on a bigger threat.
