Guide Chris and Jessica through the Mediterranean Sea shooter segment in Resident Evil: Revelations. Learn gatling gun controls, tentacle attack patterns, and spike evasion.

Alright, so we're diving into Scenario 2, which is basically a high-octane speedboat chase on the Mediterranean Sea. Think of it like that vehicle section in Resident Evil 5, but with more tentacles trying to chomp on your boat. Your main goal here is to board the Zenobia.

You and Jessica will be manning the gatling guns on the speedboat. While Jessica helps out, you're the primary damage dealer against these slimy sea monsters. They'll pop out of the water, try to get a bite in, and then retreat. Keep an eye on them, especially when they start dashing straight for the boat – that's when you need to focus all your firepower to stop them.

Gatling Gun Controls:

Left Circle PadTurn/aim the gatling gun
YFire the gatling gun
XFire grenade
BCool the gatling gun
AUse green herb

Heads up: Watch that gauge on the right side of your screen. If it overheats, you'll need to tap the [B] button to cool the gatling gun down. It's a good habit to tap [B] when you're not actively shooting to keep it from overheating. Don't just hold down the trigger unless you've got a tentacle in your sights!

Things get a bit trickier when the tentacles start launching spike projectiles. They'll hop out of the water and fire three spikes at your speedboat. You'll need to quickly aim and shoot them down with the gatling gun. Each spike only takes one shot to destroy, and hitting them is the only way to avoid taking damage. These can be pretty tough because they're small and require precise aiming.

Later on, the tentacles will start their dash attack from mid-distance, trying to bite you. You'll need to swivel your aim to the right to deal with them, then quickly snap back to facing forward. As you get closer to the Queen Zenobia, the action really ramps up. Several tentacles will appear in the background before dashing forward. This is where you'll want to use your grenades – try to hit tentacles on one side, then switch to the gatling gun for the other. Once you maneuver around the side of the ship, the tentacle attacks will cease, and a cutscene will play out.
