First things first, after you get the quest from Fernund in Brightmarket, turn and look south. You'll spot a rappel point right at the cliff's edge. Take that ride down, and then you'll need to do some climbing across ledges to reach another rappel point. This one will take you down into the area you could see from town.

Once you land at the bottom, keep heading south until you find a path. You'll want to take the one that heads southeast. Follow this path south, and you'll pass two junctions and a Stalker site. After the second junction, veer southwest. If you want to try and avoid those pesky Stalkers and their cloaking, try to hug the mountainside as you continue south.

When you finally reach the campfire to the southwest, make a beeline straight north towards the cliff wall. Use your Focus – it's your best friend for spotting hidden things! You're looking for an Oseram chest perched on a ledge up high.

To get up to that chest, face it and then look to your left. You should see a way to climb up. Once you're up there, examine the chest. Surprise! It's empty. And just when you thought that was the end of it, Fernund shows up, triggering an ambush!

You're pretty much trapped on the ledge, and while it's just human enemies, you'll want to be careful not to expose yourself too much. The good news is you have the high ground, which is perfect for lining up those headshots. Take them all out. (Don't forget, you actually had the option to escape earlier if you wanted to avoid this fight).

With the ambush dealt with, it's time to head back to Meridian Village to find Fernund. He'll try to make a run for it, so you'll need to track him down. Once you catch up, you can choose to punish him or let him walk. Either way, that's the errand finished!
