Complete Cauldron RHO in horizon zero dawn. Learn how to defeat Tramplers, Watchers, and Ravagers and override the Network Uplink.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the Greatrun Hunting Grounds, head due south to find a road, then follow it southeast. Be wary of Tramplers and Glinthawks.
  2. 2
Continue southeast, then south, dealing with Longlegs along the road.
  3. 3
At a fork with a Campfire, you may encounter a Shell-Walker patrol. Cauldron RHO is down the road to the east, southeast.
  4. 4
Approach the signature triangular door of Cauldron RHO and dispatch the Watchers outside.
  5. 5
At the cliff edge outside the Cauldron, turn east and drop or climb down ledges. Cross a cylindrical bridge and continue downhill to a rappel point.
  6. 6
Descend further through caverns until you reach a triangular metal door. Use your spear to override it and enter the Cauldron.
  7. 7
Head down a short hallway and take out a Watcher.
  8. 8
Shoot the glowing blue center of a rotating turbine to reverse its spin, then ride it to the southern end of the room.
  9. 9
Continue south, southeast into a natural cavern, looting a Supply Crate.
  10. 10
Turn south, southwest into a triangular wire-tunnel and override the door at the end.
  11. 11
In the large room beyond, dispatch the Watchers. Use the steam vents for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).
  12. 12
Eliminate the Ravager. You can shoot off its Ravager Cannon to use against other machines or simply defeat it. Use Fire Arrows to trigger burning damage-over-time.
  13. 13
Turn southwest and shoot the turbine, then ride it west. Jump to a hovering cargo crate and ride it until safe ground is below.
  14. 14
Drop down, turn northwest, and override a Network Uplink to deploy a bridge.
  15. 15
Ride a turbine west, then override a second Network Uplink to tear down a section of the southern wall of light barrier.
  16. 16
Shoot the nearby turbine and ride it back east. Cross the previously deployed bridge.
  17. 17
Get on a floating cargo crate and ride it through the fragmented wall of light, dropping onto a ledge to the southwest.
  18. 18
Turn northwest. You can shoot a turbine above some stacked Shell-Walker cargo crates and ride it northwest, or make a running jump across the gap.
  19. 19
Once across, head through a triangular wire-tunnel to the south, southwest.
  20. 20
In the next chamber, use vents for cover to take down a Watcher on an elevated ledge.
  21. 21
Continue south to find ramps leading down to the lower, western end of the room. Use vents to eliminate another pair of Watchers.
  22. 22
Note hand-holds above the ramp you descended. Climb them to reach a tunnel leading to three Supply Crates.
  23. 23
Find another Supply Crate in the larger chamber where the Watchers prowled, opposite a door to the west. Override this door.
Tips
  • Tramplers are aggressive, charging and hounding targets. They can create a fiery explosion and shoot a shockwave. Their Processing Unit on their underside can be targeted for massive damage-over-time. Their horns are vulnerable, high-damage, easily hit targets. Tramplers can drop Very Rare (purple) quality modifications.
  • When fighting Ravagers, shoot off their Ravager Cannon and use it against other machines. Fire Arrows are effective for triggering burning damage-over-time.
  • Use the steam vents for cover when engaging Watchers in the large room with turbines.
  • You can ride turbines by shooting their glowing blue center to reverse their direction and then using the hand-holds on their rim.
  • Look for hovering cargo crates to use as platforms when turbines don't lead directly to safe ground.
