Learn how to defeat the Possessor and Thresholder bosses in Kingdom Hearts II. Get tips on their attacks and strategies to emerge victorious in the Undercroft.

Hey there! So, you've stumbled upon the Possessor and its second form, the Thresholder. These guys are pureblood Heartless and show up as a boss in Kingdom Hearts II, as well as a couple of other games. Let's get you through this. ## Strategy in Kingdom Hearts II When you first step into the Undercroft, you'll have to deal with some Gargoyle Knights first. Take 'em out, and then make your way towards the Thresholder. It'll call in some Hook Bats to defend it, so clear out a second wave of those too. Once they're gone, you're clear to start wailing on the Thresholder. Watch out! The Thresholder likes to stretch its arms across the room and summon these dark orbs. Try your best to dodge those. When its health drops a bit, you'll get a prompt for the unlock reaction command. Use it to free the Possessor from the door. The Possessor itself doesn't attack, so you can go all out on it. Eventually, it'll float back to the door and reanimate it. Now, the Thresholder will start shooting projectiles at you. Your best bet is to get in close and attack without getting hit. Once you drain its health again, the Possessor will pop out and float around. It'll eventually stretch its arms out, cross them, and start slapping you repeatedly. Keep at it until its health is gone, and you'll have defeated both bosses! Heads up: If Sora happens to fall in this fight, don't worry! The King (that's Mickey!) will step in and be temporarily playable to help you finish the job. ### Possessor Attacks * Touch: It'll cling onto you and drain your health until you get it off. ### Thresholder Attacks * Smack: It swats your party away with its arms. * Energy Blast: It creates a big orb of dark energy and then shoots multiple smaller dark orbs at you.
