Master the 'Combined Threat' mission in Kingdom Hearts II. Learn strategies for the Mimic Master and the challenging Trinity Armor boss fight.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Mimic Master: White books do minimal damage, but black books will blind you. You cannot run during this time, so dodge the beams and attack when possible. Use Esuna to cure blindness. The Mimic Master will also light itself on fire and fly around, dealing medium damage. Dodge this attack, and after it ends, counter with a Shotlock as the Mimic Master will rest.
  2. 2
Mimic Master's Card/Clone Attack: The Mimic Master summons many cards and clones. Destroying each card permanently removes it. Cards not destroyed will spawn new clones after you defeat them. Use an area-of-effect attack like Mega Flare to deal with this. Alternatively, use Vanish to destroy most cards before taking out the clones. When the Mimic Master resurfaces, use your Shotlock for good damage.

  • Health Points: 1350 (Head), 800 (Each Piece)
  • Strength: 24
  • Defense: 13
  • Status Resistance: Immune to all
  • Elemental Weaknesses: Physical x 1.0, Fire x 1.0, Blizzard x 1.0, Thunder x 1.0, Dark x 1.0

Strategy:

  • Focus on taking out the legs first using high-level commands or a Shotlock.
  • Move on to the arms only after the legs are dealt with.
  • Watch out for sweeping energy beams. Dash through them to get behind the boss for close-range damage.
  • The Trinity Armor will separate itself after the first wave of energy beams; keep your distance to dodge the barrage of attacks.
  • Once the limbs are gone, attack the body to finish the fight.
