BOSS: Hades (Round 30 & 50)

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • HP: 2715
  • Strength: 87
  • Defense: 51
  • Level: 80

Strategy:

This is a rematch with Hades, and it's pretty similar to your first encounter. Initially, you won't be able to damage him. You'll need to use your Aura Sphere ability to knock him out of his red form. Once he's in his blue form, he's vulnerable, so go all out! Watch out for his 'Ring of Fire' attack, where he spins and creates a fiery pillar. It's tough to dodge up close, and he usually signals it by shouting, "That's it!"

If you're struggling to avoid his attacks, a great strategy is to stay near Hercules. You can use the Reaction Command to defend, and if you stick by him the whole time, you can keep up the Guard Sphere. Then, just spam Aura Sphere to deal safe, consistent damage to Hades.

Gummi Missions Explained:

After you've completed the main route for a Gummi Ship area, two new missions unlock: Mission 1 and Mission 2.

  • Mission 1: Your main goal here is to collect as many medals dropped by enemies as possible. Aim for a high Medal Level by the end of the mission.
  • Mission 2: This one is a bit more challenging but straightforward. You need to defeat a specific number of enemies to achieve different rankings.

Once you get a C rank or higher in both Mission 1 and Mission 2, Mission 3 unlocks. These are score-based missions with tougher enemies, and you'll need to manually control the camera.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix Exclusive: EX Missions

For every mission you achieve an S-Rank on, you can unlock an EX Mission by pressing Triangle when selecting it. These EX Missions have the same goals as the original missions but come with a restriction or requirement for your Gummi Ship. Acing these EX Missions earns you a bonus Gummi block, and Special Blueprints (high-power/high-defense designs inspired by Final Fantasy characters) are also available.
