To start the UNC: Asari Writings assignment, you'll need to find Asari Writings scattered across the galaxy. You can find these by exploring uncharted planets with the Mako or by surveying planets directly from space. Keep an eye out for anomalies on your map while exploring planets; interacting with these will start a decryption mini-game. If you survey a planet from space, you might get the item directly. Once you find your first Asari Writing, the assignment will be added to your journal, and you'll need to collect a total of 10 to complete it. There are 16 writings in total, and finding each one grants you XP and Credits, which scale with your level.
