Need help with the Data Recovery assignment in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition? Follow our guide to defeat the Krogan, find Gavin Hossle's console, and get the data.

This assignment, Data Recovery, pops up during the main Feros mission. You'll get the chance to grab it when you're at the Skyway Weigh Station, after chatting with Ethan Jeong and Juliana Baynham. Stick around, because Gavin Hossle will then ask you to retrieve some data from his console over in the ExoGeni headquarters building.

The good news is this assignment pretty much runs alongside the main Feros quest, so you'll be heading to ExoGeni headquarters anyway. Once you're inside, you'll need to push through a Krogan Commander and a Geth Shrine to get to a room with three paths and a barrier blocking the way north. Head down the northeastern passage. You'll run into three Krogan here – take them out, and then look for "Gavin Hossle's Console" to snag the data he's after.

After you've got the data, just keep pushing through the core mission. Once you manage to dislodge a geth ship, you'll be able to leave ExoGeni headquarters. Head back to the Skyway Weigh Station. After a bit of a scene with Ethan Jeong and Juliana Baynham, find Gavin Hossle, hand over the data, and you'll have completed this assignment!
