To begin the UNC: Besieged Base assignment, you need to have at least 80% Paragon points. Once this threshold is met, you will receive a transmission from Admiral Hackett the next time you travel to a new Cluster on the Galaxy Map. If you have the Renegade assignment UNC: The Negotiator, you will need 90% Paragon points to receive this assignment.

Travel to the Cacus system within the Hades Gamma cluster and land on the planet Chohe.

Make your way to the southeast part of the planet to find the Science Base and enter the facility.

Upon entering, you will receive a warning that the hostages are under the influence of drugs and may be caught in the crossfire. Your goal is to save as many of them as possible.

Command your squad to stay at the entrance of the main room.

The primary targets are in the main room, and most are Biotics, which can lead to rapid escalation. The containment cells scattered around the room add to the danger. It is advisable to make a manual save before proceeding.
