Noveria: Rift Station

Follow our Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (ME1) guide to navigate Noveria's Rift Station, interact with survivors like Captain Ventralis, and craft the toxin cure.

After arriving at Rift Station via tram from Peak 15, proceed north and turn west through a doorway. You'll find two doors to the south; take the one on the right and ride the elevator to the main floor. Continue north to find a group of survivors.

Speak with their leader, Captain Ventralis. During the initial dialogue, choose Paragon or Renegade options for Paragon +2 or Renegade +2. After the "Investigate" option appears, you can use a Charm/Intimidate skill (requires Rank 3) to learn about the security hub.

After the conversation, you will be ambushed by two Rachni Soldiers. Defeat them, then respond to Captain Ventralis with "No problem." for Paragon +2.

Noveria: Rift Station - Survivor’s Holdout

Proceed through several doors past the security checkpoint into a large room with more survivors. Notable items and characters in this area include:

• A Weapon Locker [Easy] and a Storage Locker [Easy] in the Guard Barracks (east).
• Petozi, an elcor merchant, who can provide a Codex Entry: Primary - Aliens: Non-Council Races / Elcor.
• Dr. Palon, who refers you to Han Olar. A Medical Kit is on a nearby table.

The northernmost door on the west side leads to the security hub, but it's sealed. Hacking the [Easy] Decryption lock will turn ERCS guards hostile, potentially offering extra XP but hindering progress.

Talk to Zev Cohen, who needs a toxin cure.

Noveria: Rift Station - Medical Bay

To access the Secure Labs, go through the middle door to the west into the Medical Bay. Speak with Zev Cohen. After an initial inconsequential dialogue, select "Are these people sick?" followed by "I could help." After another inconsequential dialogue about Mira, you can use Charm/Intimidate (requires Rank 7) to learn about the toxin.

Return to Captain Ventralis and tell him "I want to help Dr. Cohen." He will agree, possibly with a condition. Go to the survivor's holdout and take the southernmost door west to the Scientist Barracks / Quarantine Lab.

Noveria: Rift Station - Scientist Barracks / Quarantine Lab

In the Scientist Barracks, speak with Han Olar. Loot a Storage Locker [Easy] and an Aid Station. Proceed upstairs to find an ERCS Guard near the Quarantine Lab door. Talk to him for access.

Inside the Quarantine Lab, search side rooms for a Medical Kit and a Secure Storage Locker [Average]. Loot a Locked Crate [Easy] in the main room. Examine Research Notes on a desk to learn the cure requires mixing four chemicals in precise order. Use the Make Cure machine, which initiates a mini-game where you press the correct button as a progress bar fills between two arrows. You have unlimited tries.

After crafting the cure, Alestia, an asari scientist, will confront you.
