A Fiery Convergence

Quest Info:

• Objective: Hunt all target monsters
• Reward Money: 21600z
• Time Limit: 50 min.
• Conditions: HR 13 or higher
• Failure Conditions: Faint 3 Times / Time Expires
• Other Monsters: Gastodon / Barnos / Gajalaka

This quest might sound tough since you have to take down two big monsters, Lavasioth and Uragaan, but it's actually pretty manageable. Unlike Rathalos and Azure Rathalos, these two don't really have overlapping territories. They might cross paths in AREAS 11 and 7, but if that happens, just hang back and let them duke it out. You can jump back in when they split up, or even use a Dung Pod to nudge one of them away. Your best bet is to tackle the Uragaan first in the cooler areas like AREAS 2, 6, and 5. Once it's down, the Lavasioth should be much easier to handle. Since both monsters are vulnerable to Poison, bringing a poison weapon is a smart move.

After you've defeated this fiery duo, head back to the Armor clerk at the Workshop. She'll give you the Fireproof Mantle as promised. This is a really useful item that you'll need soon, so it's definitely worth going out of your way to get it.
