Alright, so you want to snag that sweet “Bourgeois Hunter” trophy in Monster Hunter: World? It’s not about being fancy, it’s about having a fat wallet – specifically, 1,000,000 Zenny all at once. This isn’t cumulative like some other achievements, so you need the full million sitting in your account at any given moment.

The absolute best way to rack up Zenny is by selling off all those extra monster materials you’ve been hoarding. Seriously, don’t underestimate this! High Rank materials, the ones you get from tougher monsters, can fetch anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 Zenny each. And you’ll be swimming in them – it’s not uncommon to get a dozen or more components from a single hunt. Capturing monsters and doing investigations often nets you even more goodies.

Don’t even think you need to hunt super-tough monsters for this. Even the High Rank Great Jagras, a pretty early-game monster, drops materials that are worth a good chunk of change. If you’re looking for the most bang for your buck, keep an eye out for High Rank event quests where you hunt multiple monsters. These guys have lower health, so you can chain-kill four or five in about twenty to thirty minutes. Or, if you’re feeling efficient, just repeatedly hunt the Great Jagras – you can probably do it in under two minutes per run. All quests give Zenny, but those event quests can easily drop around 30,000 Zenny if you don’t faint, and even a simple Jagras investigation will give you several thousand.

Now, a word of caution about playing with friends: while it’s fun, it actually reduces the Zenny you get per quest based on how many people are in your party. So, only team up if your buddies are making the hunts significantly faster. The number of materials you get doesn’t drop much in multiplayer, but the direct Zenny reward does.

I know it’s tempting to blow all your hard-earned cash on the coolest armor and weapons, but remember that spending is your biggest enemy when you’re chasing this trophy. If you’re really close, like just a few thousand Zenny away, there’s a little trick: export your save data to online storage or a USB drive. Then, sell off absolutely everything you can – all your monster parts, anything that’s worth Zenny. If you hit that 1,000,000 mark, boom, trophy unlocked! You can then just restore your save from before you sold everything. However, if you’re planning on grinding towards Hunter Rank 100 or going for those tricky Mini and Giant Crowns, you probably won’t even need to do this. The sheer amount of hunting and material gathering for those goals will naturally get you the Zenny you need, or at least the materials to sell for it.
