Hunt Radobaan in monster hunter world's Rotten Vale. Learn its attacks, weaknesses (Dragon, Blast), and rewards like Radobaan Shell and Marrow.
Walkthrough
- 1The Radobaan resembles a giant pillbug and primarily attacks by rolling. It has various rolling attacks, headbutts, rams, and tail swipes.
- 2Be mindful of its health; while not dealing massive damage, it can knock you down and roll over you. Maintain at least two attacks' worth of health.
- 3The Radobaan is not very agile, making it an easy target. Slower, high-impact weapons are effective at breaking its bone spikes.
- 4When its bone spikes are depleted, it may return to its lair (AREA 4) to reapply them. Lacking spikes hinders its rolls, making them slower and causing pauses.
- 5The Radobaan's head and back legs are weak points and breakable, as are its back and tail (the tail is also severable).
- 6It is weak to Dragon element attacks and the Blast ailment, but resistant to Sleep.
- 7After defeating and carving the Radobaan (if not captured), you need to locate the Great Girros in AREA 8 of the Rotten Vale.
- 8Navigate through lesser Girros and Raphinos. You will encounter a room with toxic vapors that temporarily damage hunters.
- 9Locate the Great Girros, and once your quest updates, return to camp.
- 10Talk to The Handler and leave the expedition. A masked hunter will appear and reveal herself.
- 11The Handler gives the masked hunter something to inspect. You then speak with the Third Fleet Master, who encourages you to explore deeper into the Rotten Vale, warning of potential commitment.
- 12Return to Astera and find the Lynian Expert in the Research Base to unlock a tutorial for Tailraider Safaris.
- 13Tailraider Safaris allow you to dispatch Palico squads using Research Points.
- 14Choose a squad, spend Research Points, and select a destination and route based on monster threats and difficulty ratings.
- 15Wait for the safari to complete its mission and bring back rewards. You can also manage these safaris via the Housekeeper Palico in your room in Astera.
- 16Talk to the Chief Botanist in Astera to accept the quest Persistent Pests, which requires killing fourteen Hornetaurs.
- 17Speak to the Armory clerk in the Workshop for further instructions.
