The gift that Steven left you

Find Steven's house in Mossdeep City, grab the Level 5 Beldum he left you, and learn how this powerful Steel/Psychic Pokémon evolves into Metang and Metagross.

Alright, before we go hunting for Steven himself, he’s actually left us a pretty sweet gift back in Mossdeep City. First things first, you’ll need to fly over to Mossdeep. Once you land, make your way to Steven’s house. If you’re not sure where that is, just head northwest from the Pokémon Center – you can’t miss it.

Inside his house, you’ll spot a Poké Ball sitting on his desk, with a note right beside it. You can totally skip reading the note if you’re in a rush, but it basically says he’s off adventuring somewhere and that you two will meet again. The important part is that Poké Ball – it contains a Level 5 Beldum!

This little guy is seriously one of the best Pokémon you can get in the game. Beldum is a Steel/Psychic type, which means it’s only weak to Fire and Ground-type moves. For now, its only attack is Take Down, but don’t worry – it’s got some awesome moves coming its way. When it hits Level 20, it’ll evolve into Metang, and then at Level 45, it’ll evolve into the absolute powerhouse, Metagross. Metang learns Psychic at Level 38, and Metagross has some unbelievable stats. Plus, its ability, Clear Body, prevents other Pokémon from lowering its stats with moves like Tail Whip. Seriously, teach it moves like Psychic and Earthquake, and you’ll have an unstoppable force on your team.
