Navigate Mt. Chimney in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, battle Team Magma, and obtain the Meteorite. Includes trainer details and Maxie's team.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
After the cable car ride, head south and exit the house.
  2. 2
You will encounter a Team Aqua and a Team Magma member fighting over their Poochyenas. They will not battle you.
  3. 3
Head north and east to find five sets of stairs.
  4. 4
Climb the stairs to find three Team Magma members battling the Team Aqua leader.
  5. 5
Talk to the Team Aqua leader, who will ask you to stop Maxie, the leader of Team Magma.
  6. 6
Continue north to find two more Team Magma vs. Team Aqua battles.
  7. 7
Head west to find trainers. You can battle two Team Magma Grunts individually or engage in a team battle between them for $800.
  8. 8
The first Team Magma Grunt has a Level 20 Zubat (Poison/Flying) and gives $400.
  9. 9
The second Team Magma Grunt has a Level 20 Numel (Fire/Ground) and gives $400.
  10. 10
Next, you will face Magma Admin Tabitha, who has a Level 18 Numel (Fire/Ground), a Level 22 Numel (Fire/Ground), a Level 20 Poochyena (Dark), and a Level 22 Zubat (Poison/Flying). She gives $880.
  11. 11
After defeating these grunts, head to the northwest part of the mountain to find the Team Magma leader, Maxie, in front of a machine.
  12. 12
Battle Maxie. His team consists of a Level 24 Mightyena (Dark), a Level 24 Zubat (Dark), and a Level 25 Camerupt (Fire/Ground). He gives $2000.
  13. 13
Zubat can be defeated easily with rock, electric, or psychic attacks. Mightyena may be challenging but is generally a weak Pokémon. Camerupt is 4x weak to Water attacks.
  14. 14
After the battle, Maxie and his grunts will flee, and the Team Aqua leader will thank you and leave.
  15. 15
    Pick up the Meteorite.
  16. 16
Head back to the Cable Car entrance but do not enter it.
  17. 17
Go through the stairs south of the entrance, which were previously blocked by Team Aqua and Team Magma members. This path leads to the Jagged Pass.
  • Meteorite (item)
  • TM27: Return (if the Meteorite is returned to Professor Cozmo at Fallarbor Town). TM27: Return becomes stronger with a higher Pokémon happiness rating.
Tips
  • For the team battle between the two Team Magma Grunts, you can walk in the middle to initiate it, yielding $800.
  • When battling Maxie, remember Camerupt's 4x weakness to Water-type attacks.
