    Mushroom 1: In the room with the Jolly Roger Bay portrait, find an alcove in the wall opposite the alcove that leads to the Secret Aquarium. The 1-Up Mushroom will appear as soon as you jump in.

    Mushroom 2: In the basement area with water, just before the two pillars used to drain the water, locate a passage with slanted slopes on each side. Each slope has two yellow arrows. Walk through all four corners between the yellow arrows to make a 1-Up Mushroom appear in the center. If the water has not been drained, you can still get this 1-Up by swimming through the corners.
Tips
  • The first 1-Up Mushroom appears immediately after jumping into the designated spot.
  • For the second 1-Up Mushroom, you can collect it even if the water has not been drained by the pillars.
