- 2Upon starting, approach the large haunted house and enter through the front door.
- 3In the main hallway with many doors, enter the first door to your left.
- 4Past the Mad Piano, enter the door at the back of the room. Watch out for flying chairs.
- 5Stand on the table with the Boo poster behind it and look away from the poster to lure out two Boos. Punch them from behind to defeat them.
- 6Exit this room through the back door, which leads back into the main hallway.
- 7Enter the next door to the right of the one you just exited. This room contains a Mr. I and a Boo. Defeat the Boo. To defeat the Mr. I, run around it in circles.
- 8Exit this room the way you came in and proceed through the next door to the right.
- 9Cross the crumbling bridge VERY QUICKLY to reach a small platform with a door. Defeat the Boo on the platform by punching it from behind.
- 10Enter the door to find a small room with a pit. Jump to the next platform and defeat the fifth Boo.
- 11After defeating the fifth Boo, a message will appear indicating you are about to face Big Boo. Return to the hallway with all the doors.
- 12Big Boo will appear in the hallway.
- 13To defeat Big Boo, run behind him and perform a rugby-tackle dive (press B while running) into his back. He will shrink.
- 14Hit Big Boo three times. He gets quicker with each hit, but the task is not difficult.
- 15After defeating Big Boo, the Power Star will appear at the top of the balcony. The platform in the middle of the room will transform into stairs. Climb the stairs to claim your Star.
