To even get started on this, you absolutely HAVE to have unlocked the Vanish Cap. If you haven't gotten those Vanish Cap Blocks activated yet, you'll need to do that first before coming back here.     First things first, head towards the mansion right in front of you and go inside. Once you're in the main hallway, climb up the stairs.

    Now, enter the door you used before to get to that secret balcony. You know the one! As you run around the bookcase, keep an eye out for a trap door – don't fall in!

    Head through the door at the very back of that room. You'll pop out onto a small balcony in the hallway, and right there you'll see a Vanish Cap Block. Bash it open and grab the Vanish Cap!

    This is where it gets time-sensitive. Very quickly, run back into the room with the bookcase. Jump onto the little platform in the corner.

    From that platform, use a double jump followed by a wall kick to reach the high ledge that's above the door you used in the previous course.

    Go through that door. This will lead you into the loft area.

    As soon as you enter the loft, quickly run straight through the Boo poster. This will take you into a room with a regular Boo and a Gigantic Mr. I.

    First, defeat the regular Boo. Then, it's time to take on the Gigantic Mr. I. The trick here is just like fighting any other Mr. I: run around him a few times! When he finally vanishes, he'll drop the Power Star right there for you to collect. Congrats!

  • Speed is key once you grab the Vanish Cap. Don't dawdle!
  • Make sure you've mastered the double jump and wall kick to reach that high ledge reliably.
  • Don't get too close to Mr. I when he's about to disappear; just keep circling him.
